Vivo Energy Kenya supports efforts to combating COVID-19

Vivo Energy Kenya, the company that markets and distributes Shell branded fuels and lubricants, in Kenya, launched its nationwide soap distribution project at their Shell Adam’s Arcade service station. The bars of soap will be distributed to communities within and around selected Shell service stations across parts of the country.

In partnership with SHOFCO (Shinning Hope for Communities) and Lifebuoy, Vivo Energy Kenya has launched this project to support government efforts of sensitizing Kenyans on keeping safe from COVID-19 through handwashing. This will also encourage, teach and demonstrate proper handwashing within those communities.

Vivo Energy Kenya is involved with various community investment activities and this project demonstrates the organisation’s continued support and care for the community and the nation at large. The soap distribution will continue for one week commencing Saturday 28th March 2020 to communities around selected Shell service stations in Nairobi, Western, Coast and Mt. Kenya regions.

Lifebuoy has donated 14,000 bars of soap to Vivo Energy Kenya in support of this project. SHOFCO, a community based organisation will be bringing their expertise in community engagement where they have been sensitizing communities in various densely populated areas in Kenya on how to correctly clean their hands and other hygiene measures they should take to keep safe.
